Coleg Cambria will welcome prospective learners and their families to a series of open events in November, providing an opportunity to explore the wide range of courses and state-of-the-art facilities available at the college. The events will take place across several campuses, with visitors invited to meet staff, tour the facilities, and learn more about the courses on offer for the upcoming academic year.
The events will be held on the following dates:

Coleg Cambria Principal Sue Price said these open sessions provide a vital opportunity for prospective students to gain first-hand insights into the wide variety of programmes available at the college. The courses on offer span multiple disciplines, including Engineering, Sports, Animal Management, Agriculture, Esports, Hair and Beauty, Business, and Veterinary Science.
“We are delighted to once again hold our popular autumn open events,” said Mrs Price. “They are always well-attended by students looking ahead to the next academic year. As well as touring our modern facilities, including the new £14 million health building at our Yale campus and the £10 million land-based education centre at Llysfasi, visitors can discover more about our FE (Further Education) and HE (Higher Education) courses.”
Attendees will also have the opportunity to learn about the health and wellbeing support provided by the college, and the activities of the Student Voice team, which plays a crucial role in shaping the student experience. Those unable to attend the events are encouraged to contact the college via its website or social media for further information.
In addition to the general open events, Coleg Cambria will also host accessible sessions for individuals seeking a sensory-supportive environment. These events will be held on the following dates:
- Deeside and Deeside Sixth: Thursday, 14 November, from 5pm-6pm.
- Llysfasi: Thursday, 28 November, from 5pm-6pm.
- Yale and Yale Sixth: Wednesday, 20 November, from 5pm-6pm.
- Bersham Road (Wrexham): Thursday, 21 November, from 5pm-6pm.
- Northop: Wednesday, 27 November, from 5pm-6pm.
At all open events, visitors will have the chance to speak with staff and lecturers, tour the cutting-edge facilities, and explore the diverse range of full-time courses and qualifications available. These include A Levels, GCSEs, BTECs, and Welsh for Adults, as well as part-time programmes, apprenticeships, and the offerings of Cambria University Centre. For those unable to attend in person, a virtual 3D tour option is available, allowing prospective students to explore each campus site from the comfort of their own home.
Mrs Price added: “We hope to see you soon, but for anyone who cannot make it, please do not hesitate to get in touch via the website or social media to find out more.”
