Global PV and energy storage supplier JinkoSolar has introduced a new generation of solar technology, unveiling its latest TOPCon-based panels, branded Tiger Neo 3.0, with power ratings that set a new standard for efficiency in the solar industry. The Tiger Neo 3.0 series offers the most powerful modules currently available, achieving up to 670W for utility applications and an impressive 495W for residential installations.
The Tiger Neo 3.0, designed on JinkoSolar’s HOT4.0 platform, utilises its patented N-type TOPCon technology, incorporating advanced features such as High Conductivity Path (HCP) and MAX cell design. These innovations have allowed the company to push the boundaries of solar panel performance, with the panels now reaching a conversion efficiency of up to 24.8%. This efficiency, which reflects the percentage of sunlight converted into usable energy, positions JinkoSolar’s products as leaders in a competitive solar market.
The new portfolio includes two flagship product lines: the Neo Utility series, engineered for large-scale solar farms, and the Neo DG series, tailored for rooftop and residential use. The Tiger Neo 3.0 modules are also available in a bifacial version, which harnesses sunlight on both sides of the panel. With a bifacial factor reaching up to 85%, the design provides superior energy yield, particularly valuable in lower light conditions. The series also boasts reduced open-circuit voltage (VOC) and increased short-circuit current (Isc), contributing to a more streamlined balance of system (BOS) and overall reduced costs for installations.
Each Tiger Neo 3.0 panel is backed by JinkoSolar’s industry-leading warranties, featuring a 12-year product guarantee and a 25-year performance warranty. An extended 30-year linear power output warranty offers further assurance, with initial degradation limited to 1% and an annual degradation rate of only 0.4%. These guarantees are intended to provide customers with confidence in the long-term reliability and productivity of the panels, ensuring steady energy output for decades.
JinkoSolar’s record-breaking TOPCon cell technology results from the company’s extensive investment in research and development, focused on improving the cost-performance ratio of its products. This breakthrough allows for a greater power density in each project, and the consistent improvement in TOPCon technology offers a compelling solution for a market increasingly prioritising cost-effective, high-output solar technology.
Having achieved over 120 gigawatts in installed Tiger Neo capacity worldwide, JinkoSolar has a proven track record in delivering robust and energy-efficient solar solutions. The latest generation builds on this foundation, showcasing JinkoSolar’s commitment to innovation and sustainable energy. The company’s CEO highlighted that these developments aim to support global markets in maximising energy output, contributing significantly to decarbonisation efforts across regions seeking cleaner, renewable energy sources.
With the launch of Tiger Neo 3.0, JinkoSolar reinforces its leadership position within the solar industry, promising to continue developing high-performance products and setting new industry standards for efficiency and reliability.
